Puducherry CM Seeks Indian Embassy's Help to Locate Missing Marine Engineer in Iran

Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangasamy has requested the Indian Ambassador to Iran to assist in locating Uppilathali Ajith, a marine engineer from Mahe working with Horsan Ship Management. Ajith left for Iran aboard the vessel Vista on December 16, 2025, but his family has been unable to contact him or determine his whereabouts since. The Chief Minister has urged the embassy to trace Ajith and facilitate his return to India as a special case.
