Himachal Pradesh Advances Medicinal Plant Cultivation and Green Energy Initiatives

Himachal Pradesh's government has signed agreements to promote cultivation and conservation of medicinal plants across various agro-climatic zones, partnering with Dabur India and Ayurvedic expert Karan Singh Vaidh. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized environmental conservation and green energy initiatives, including a 200 MW solar power target, a one-megawatt green hydrogen plant at Nalagarh, and the induction of 300 electric buses by April. Sukhu also linked progress on hydropower projects to fiscal justice, seeking arrears clearance from neighboring states, while highlighting climate change impacts on the Himalayan ecosystem.
