Haryana Police Report Over 1,000 Objectionable Social Media Links in Ongoing Crackdown

Haryana Police, in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, have launched an ongoing digital campaign targeting objectionable and fraudulent content on social media. Over 1,000 links and profiles containing misinformation, provocative language, and content disturbing public peace have been reported, with 583 removed or blocked so far. The campaign also addresses suspicious trading and investment apps, identifying 28 such apps, half of which have been taken down. Notices are issued under Section 79(3)(b) of the IT Act, with no leniency shown during enforcement.
