
Shatrujeet Kapur, a 1990-batch Haryana cadre IPS officer, assumed charge as Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on January 19. He succeeded Praveen Kumar, who became the Border Security Force chief. Kapur, with 35 years of service and several police honors, is set to retire in October. Concurrently, the Uttarakhand government and ITBP signed an MoU to provide primary healthcare to 108 border villages, involving regular medical visits and telemedicine services.
