Rajasthan Renames Three Cities and Announces Welfare Measures for Legislators and Journalists

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced the renaming of three cities: Mount Abu to Aburaj (also reported as Abu Raj), Kaman to Kamvan, and Jahazpur to Yagyapur. The announcement was made in the state assembly and has attracted public attention. Additionally, the government unveiled welfare measures for legislators and journalists, including cost-of-living adjustments, housing schemes, and increased pensions. A new Gau Seva Policy 2026 was also introduced to enhance cow protection programs.
