
Bengaluru is set to gain a new 153-acre lung space, the Vishwaguru Basavanna Biodiversity Park, in North Bengaluru, approved by the State government with an initial funding of ₹50 crore. The project, estimated to cost ₹250 crore overall, aims to replace existing plantations with medicinal plants and native trees. The government also approved revised estimates of ₹16,876 crore for corridors 2 and 4 of the Bengaluru Suburban Railway Project.
