The Andhra Pradesh State Irrigation Development Corporation (APSIDC) will prioritize lift irrigation schemes to cultivate more barren land in Vizianagaram, Parvatipuram-Manyam, and Srikakulam districts. APSIDC Director Kotagiri Narayana Rao stated that optimal utilization of irrigation potential would allow farmers to grow two crops annually. Project proposals are being finalized by district Collectors and will be presented at the next corporation meeting.
