A Bengaluru court has quashed a sexual harassment charge against HD Revanna, citing an inordinate delay in the complaint's registration. The 42nd Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court declined to take cognisance of the offence under Section 354A of the Indian Penal Code. This follows a high court decision that had previously quashed a charge under Section 354 and remanded the case for re-examination of the sexual harassment charge. The case originated from a complaint filed by a woman from Hassan district.
