TMC MP Alleges Irregularities in West Bengal Voter List Revision Process

Trinamool Congress MP Saket Gokhale has accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Election Commission of India (ECI) of manipulating West Bengal's voter list during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. He alleges that AI-based software wrongly flagged 1.67 crore voters as 'logical discrepancies,' risking deletion of 8 million voters. Gokhale claims BJP-friendly officers were appointed as micro-observers with powers to delete voters, prompting the Supreme Court to replace them with judges from Bengal and other states to complete hearings. The ECI has not publicly responded to these allegations.
