Iran Warns Against Interference in Strait of Hormuz Management Amid Tensions
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that any challenge or interference in Tehran's control of the strategic Strait of Hormuz would escalate regional tensions and delay its full reopening. Speaking in Baghdad, he emphasized that the waterway's management rests solely with Iran under a memorandum of understanding with the US, aiming to restore pre-conflict operations within 30 days. Araghchi urged all parties to respect the agreement and called on the US to deescalate tensions following recent military exchanges.
