The Karnataka Assembly will hold a special session to discuss the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), now referred to as VB-G RAM G. BJP state chief Vijayendra welcomed the session, stating the party will highlight Congress's past actions with the scheme and contrast them with the NDA government's efforts over 11 years. He emphasized accountability and preventing fund pilferage, while JD(S) leader Kumaraswamy supported the Centre's revamp for transparency and rural livelihood enhancement.
