
The Uttar Pradesh government plans to install biogas plants in over 300 cow shelters statewide, starting with Jalaun district. Led by IIT Kharagpur alumnus Yashraj Gupta and overseen by Gau Seva Ayog Chairman Shyam Bihari Gupta, the initiative aims to produce clean energy, organic manure, and bio-CNG from cow dung and urine. The project seeks to integrate livestock protection with rural employment and promote the Panchagavya value chain, enhancing farmers' incomes and supporting sustainable development.
