Mumbai's Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR), a 12.20 km corridor connecting the Western and Eastern Express Highways, is now expected to be completed by 2028, delayed from earlier targets. The project, managed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, includes an elevated circular road, a major flyover, and a twin-tube tunnel beneath Sanjay Gandhi National Park. About 48% of the flyover and 18% of tunnel excavation are done. The GMLR will link with the proposed Versova-Dahisar Coastal Road, enhancing city connectivity. Delays have led to penalties on contractors, with officials emphasizing the project's technical complexity and safety considerations.
