A Dhaka-based human rights organization, Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK), reported a significant increase in mob violence and other rights abuses in Bangladesh during 2025. The group documented 197 deaths from mob violence in 2025, with at least 293 killed since the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus took office in 2024. The report also highlighted extrajudicial killings, deaths in custody, and persecution of minorities, noting law enforcement's failure to act in many cases.
