
West Bengal's Chief Electoral Officer reported that political parties submitted eight claims and objections for eligible voter inclusion by December 31, as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive. The Bharatiya Janata Party filed one, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) filed two, and the All India Trinamool Congress filed three. Additionally, over 174,000 claims for inclusion and 37,000 for exclusion were received directly from electors. The deadline for further submissions is January 15.
