The Zilla Parishad (ZP) general body meeting in Visakhapatnam approved the budget for the 2025-26 financial year and estimates for 2026-27. The meeting also saw the felicitation of a blind cricketer and discussions on local issues. Concerns were raised regarding the registration of a PD Act against a CPI-M leader supporting fishermen, the alleged improper distribution of pensions for physically challenged individuals, and growing pollution and lorry overloading in the Parawada mandal.
