West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee directed district magistrates to strictly follow the Supreme Court's guidelines on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, emphasizing that people should not be harassed over 'logical discrepancies.' She joined a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Nandini Chakraborty at Nabanna, urging officials to accept documents validated by the court, issue receipts for submissions, and make alternative arrangements for voters unable to attend hearings. Banerjee also stressed that electoral revisions should not disrupt ongoing development work and assured government support to officials.
