The Delhi government is exploring a collaboration with IIT Kanpur to develop an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled decision support system for pollution mitigation. This initiative aims to use hyperlocal source apportionment, sensor data, and satellite information for targeted interventions. The system will enable data-driven policy decisions, real-time monitoring, and forecasting of pollution trends, replacing reactive measures with a comprehensive, year-round clean air strategy. The collaboration also emphasizes multi-agency coordination on a shared data platform for effective action.
