
The Election Commission is considering setting up polling stations outside high-rise buildings if lists of eligible housing complexes are not submitted by district election officers. The EC aims to facilitate voting for residents by establishing these stations within complexes that have at least 300 voters and a ground-floor room. However, the Trinamool Congress has reportedly opposed the move. A fresh deadline of December 31 has been set for the submission of these lists.
