Election Commission Announces April Assembly Polls in Five Indian States

The Election Commission of India has announced assembly elections from April 9 to 29 across Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal, involving over 17.4 crore voters in 824 constituencies. Polling will be conducted at more than 2.18 lakh stations with enhanced transparency measures, including frequent voter turnout updates and deployment of security and enforcement personnel.
