Congress Renominates Phulo Devi Netam for Chhattisgarh Rajya Sabha Elections

The Congress party in Chhattisgarh has renominated senior tribal leader Phulo Devi Netam for a second consecutive term in the Rajya Sabha elections scheduled for March 16, 2026. Netam, representing the Bastar region, currently serves as president of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee. The BJP has nominated Laxmi Verma for the polls. With the state assembly composition favoring both parties, each is expected to secure one Rajya Sabha seat. Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel congratulated Netam on her renomination.
