Centre to Study Feasibility of Nuclear Power Plant in Patiala, Says Minister

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh announced that the Centre will conduct a feasibility study for establishing a nuclear power plant in Darauli, Patiala, revisiting a proposal from the early 2000s. The announcement was made during an interactive session on Punjab's challenges and opportunities, attended by policymakers and experts. The government will review all conditions and explore options if the project is viable, alongside discussions on issues like debt, water scarcity, and economic renewal in Punjab.
