Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Inaugurates First Unit of Udangudi Thermal Power Plant and Multiple Projects

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the first unit of the 2,660 MW supercritical thermal power plant at Udangudi, Thoothukudi district, established by Tamil Nadu Power Generation Corporation Ltd at a cost of Rs 13,077 crore. The plant is 6% more efficient than conventional ones and features a dedicated offshore captive port for coal transport. Stalin also inaugurated multiple infrastructure projects, including 11 roads across several districts and various municipal works, while laying foundations for new initiatives and issuing appointment orders for government colleges.
