India and Pakistan exchanged lists of civilian prisoners, including fishermen, as part of a biannual humanitarian practice. India reported 33 Pakistani prisoners in its jails, while Pakistan holds 199 Indian fishermen. This exchange aims to facilitate the release of those who have completed their sentences, following appeals from fishing communities concerned about prolonged detentions.
