India successfully conducted the maiden flight test of the Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR-120) with a 120 km range at Chandipur, Odisha. The rocket demonstrated precision targeting and in-flight maneuvers. This development, designed by DRDO labs, enhances the Indian Army's artillery capabilities and can be launched from existing Pinaka platforms. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, calling the achievement a 'game changer' for armed forces' capabilities. The test coincided with the Defence Acquisition Council approving significant defense procurements.
