
Telangana reported a 2.33% decrease in overall crime in 2025 compared to the previous year, with total cases falling to 2,28,695. While murder and rape cases saw declines, crimes against women increased by 3.16%, with specific rises in outraging modesty and dowry deaths. Kidnapping and abduction cases also decreased significantly. The state also saw a reduction in cybercrime, outperforming national trends, but road accident cases increased, though fatalities decreased.
