Japanese Foreign Minister Tours Delhi Metro Highlighting Indo-Japan Collaboration

Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, accompanied by Ambassador Keiichi Ono, visited Delhi on January 17, 2025, and took a ride on the Delhi Metro. During the visit, the delegation was briefed by DMRC officials about the metro's construction and operations. The Delhi Metro, supported financially by Japan International Cooperation Agency since Phase 1, symbolizes Indo-Japanese collaboration. Motegi also engaged in discussions with Indian officials on economic and security cooperation, reflecting ongoing bilateral ties.
