Following a water contamination incident in Indore's Bhagirathpura area, Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya reported that 14 people died and approximately 1400 were infected. He assured that the government is providing free medical treatment, including hospital beds and ambulances, with a focus on the economically weaker sections affected. Efforts are underway to repair and replace damaged water pipelines, with 60 already changed and tenders issued for the remaining 40. The source of contamination, believed to be a sewer leak into the drinking water supply, has been identified and is being addressed.
