The United Arab Emirates temporarily closed its airspace as an exceptional precautionary measure amid escalating regional tensions involving missile and drone attacks reportedly launched by Iran. The closure, lasting nearly two hours, aimed to ensure the safety of flights and protect UAE territory. UAE air defence systems actively intercepted incoming threats. Operations at the Shah gas field were suspended following a drone strike causing a fire. Air traffic has since returned to normal after security assessments and coordination with relevant authorities.
