
The Supreme Court declined to intervene in journalist Ravi Nair's petition challenging a February 12 notice from the Gujarat Crime Branch related to an article he co-authored about a proposed $3.9 billion investment in Adani Group businesses by the Life Insurance Corporation of India. The court advised Nair to approach the Gujarat High Court and allowed withdrawal of the petition without granting interim protection. Nair argued the notice criminalizes legitimate journalistic work and threatens his constitutional rights.
