ED Alleges Rs 366 Crore Transfer-Posting Bribery Involving Tamil Nadu Minister K N Nehru

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has alleged a Rs 366 crore bribery and money laundering racket involving Tamil Nadu's Municipal Administration and Water Supply Minister K N Nehru. The ED's investigation, initiated during a bank fraud case probe in April 2025, uncovered evidence of bribes ranging from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 1 crore for transfer and posting of government officers and engineers. The ED has urged the Tamil Nadu government to register a First Information Report (FIR) against Nehru and associates. Nehru has denied the allegations, calling them politically motivated and stated he will legally address the charges. The ED shared digital evidence including photos, WhatsApp chats, and documents with state authorities to support further investigation.
