The Andhra Pradesh government disbursed over ₹2,700 crore in NTR Bharosa pensions on December 31, ahead of the New Year. This advance disbursement aimed to support poor households during the holiday. The program reached 63.12 lakh beneficiaries, with 58.81 lakh receiving pension amounts totaling ₹2,541.43 crore in December. Districts like Anantapur, Annamayya, and Tirupati showed high coverage rates, with efficient fund utilization reported across the state, including in geographically challenging areas.
