Himachal Pradesh doctors have called off their indefinite strike after Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu assured a reopening of the inquiry into the patient-physician brawl that led to a doctor's termination. The Resident Doctors' Association (RDA) stated the strike was withdrawn in public interest, with assurances that the termination order could be revoked. While the RDA leadership accepted the assurances, some doctors remain divided, demanding written confirmation of the doctor's reinstatement and improved safety measures. A meeting is scheduled for January 3 to discuss future actions.
