A KFF-New York Times survey reveals that a significant number of immigrants in the U.S. are avoiding travel and other activities due to immigration-related fears. Thirty-two percent of legal immigrants and 18% of naturalized citizens reported avoiding travel. The survey also found that immigrants are avoiding seeking medical care, attending community events, going to work, and taking children to school, with undocumented immigrants reporting higher rates of avoidance across all categories.
