AIADMK Announces Rs 10,000 Ex-Gratia and Welfare Measures Ahead of Tamil Nadu Elections

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami unveiled the party's third phase of poll promises for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly election, including a one-time ex-gratia payment of Rs 10,000 to each family to ease hardships attributed to the current DMK government. Additional pledges include monthly stipends for unemployed graduates (Rs 2,000) and Plus Two pass-outs (Rs 1,000) registered with employment exchanges, increased fishing ban relief to Rs 12,000, a Rs 1,000 Pongal gift for ration cardholders, free electricity units for handloom and powerloom weavers, and loan waivers for small traders and pavement dwellers. These announcements coincide with the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
