The CPI(M) in Kerala has accused the Congress government in Karnataka of adopting "BJP-style bulldozer politics" by using demolition drives in Bengaluru. CPI(M) leaders M.V. Govindan and Prakash Karat stated that this action demonstrates an ideological alignment between the Congress and the Sangh Parivar on issues affecting the Muslim community. This move is seen as the Left party's effort to position itself as the primary defender of minority interests ahead of the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections.
