Manipur Police arrested two active cadres of the banned KCP (Noyon) outfit in Imphal West district for alleged involvement in firing incidents on January 9. Authorities recovered an M-20 pistol with bullets and stated the arrested individuals were linked to at least eight previous firing incidents. Separately, security forces found a cache of arms and ammunition in Kangpokpi district. These operations occur amidst ongoing security efforts since the ethnic violence began in May 2023, which has resulted in over 260 deaths.
