A CRPF officer has accused the force of bias and creating a hostile work environment after filing a sexual harassment complaint against her Commandant, Surinder Singh Rana. The officer alleges that Additional Director General Padmakar S. Ranpise made observations perceived as favoring her. Rana was arrested and is on trial for sexual harassment charges. The CRPF's internal inquiry found the officer's charges true under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act. The Delhi High Court has issued a show-cause notice to the CRPF.
