The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is collaborating with the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) to restore and repurpose the 160-year-old Town Hall building in Chandni Chowk. Classified as a Grade-A heritage structure, the plan aims to conserve its historical character while opening it to the public as a cultural center under a revenue-sharing model. Initial restoration costs are estimated to exceed Rs 100 crore, with detailed proposals underway following MCD's recent request to DTTDC.
