Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has terminated five government employees, including a teacher, laboratory technician, assistant lineman, forest department worker, and health department driver, for alleged links to terrorist groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen. The dismissed individuals were accused of facilitating terrorist activities such as recruitment, logistics, and arms procurement while exploiting their government positions. Since 2020, the administration has dismissed 85 employees under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution, citing national security concerns and bypassing formal inquiries. The move aims to dismantle terror networks embedded within government institutions, though some local political parties have criticized the dismissals as arbitrary.
