Himachal Congress Rajya Sabha Candidate Discloses Rs 16 Crore PWD Contracts in Affidavit

Congress Rajya Sabha candidate from Himachal Pradesh, Anurag Sharma, disclosed in his election affidavit that he received nearly Rs 16 crore in Public Works Department contracts in Kangra between September 2024 and February 2026. The contracts include projects under various schemes such as PDNA and PMGSY. Sharma, also president of the District Congress Committee Kangra, stated he has been a government contractor since 2003, continuing a family profession, and affirmed compliance with contract conditions.
