
The Andhra Pradesh government released Rs 45 crore as honoraria to Imams and mouzans across the state for six months, from October 2025 to March 2026. This payment, ordered by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu ahead of the Ramzan festival, cleared pending dues. The funds covered 5,000 mosques, with Rs 15,000 per month allocated to each, totaling Rs 35 crore for Imams and Rs 15 crore for mouzans.
