The Delhi Public School (DPS) Society told the Delhi High Court that forming school-level fee regulation committees (SLFRC) within 10 days, as required by a February 1 Delhi government notification, is a complex task involving over 25,000 students and cannot be rushed. DPS highlighted challenges including the mandated public draw of lots for parent selection and the lack of caste data, which schools do not maintain. The Delhi government maintains that fee determination must comply with the new regulation before April 1. The court will hear the matter again on February 27.
