Spiritual leader Sadhguru advocated for the liberation of Indian farmers from colonial-era laws, urging Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to grant farmers full ownership of produce, including timber, grown on their land. He argued that current regulations, which restrict farmers' rights over trees on their property and items below the soil, hinder sustainable agroforestry. Sadhguru emphasized that market forces, not bureaucracy, should govern agricultural commerce, a sentiment echoed by representatives from various political parties present at the event.
