The Election Commission has finalized the deployment of 480 central force companies across West Bengal for upcoming elections, with 240 companies sent in the first phase and another 240 scheduled to arrive on March 10. Deployment focuses on border districts like North 24 Parganas, Murshidabad, and South 24 Parganas, which have high adjudication cases. Kolkata and other districts will also receive forces to maintain law and order amid concerns over voter list verification.
