Restoration work at the Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad has uncovered buried steps and a plinth at the Vinoba-Mira cottage, where Acharya Vinoba Bhave and Mira Behn lived. This discovery is part of a larger Rs 1,200-crore redevelopment project for the ashram. The one-room cottage, which previously hosted British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, is undergoing its first major restoration. The project aims to preserve historical buildings, including Mahatma Gandhi's residence, 'Hriday Kunj'.
