
Western Libya's military chief, General Muhammad Ali Ahmad al-Haddad, and four others were mourned by hundreds in Misrata, Libya, following their deaths in a plane crash in Turkiye. The private jet carrying al-Haddad and other officers crashed Tuesday after takeoff from Ankara. Libyan officials cited a technical malfunction, with an investigation ongoing in coordination with Turkiye. The funeral ceremony in Misrata was attended by Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah and other leaders.
