India Unveils PRAHAAR, Its First National Counter-Terrorism Policy and Strategy

On February 23, 2026, India’s Ministry of Home Affairs unveiled 'PRAHAAR', the country’s first comprehensive National Counter-Terrorism Policy and Strategy. The policy outlines a multi-layered, intelligence-led framework to prevent and respond to terrorism, emphasizing zero tolerance and coordination among agencies.
