A former Telangana MLA, declared a German citizen by the High Court, continues to receive a monthly pension of Rs 60,000. Congress MLA Adi Srinivas has appealed to the Assembly Speaker to stop the pension, arguing that a non-citizen is ineligible for government benefits. Srinivas, who challenged the MLA's citizenship, has threatened further legal action if the pension is not halted and previously requested the assembly secretary to recover benefits paid since the court ruling.
