Two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs in Nashik, Devyani Pharande and Seema Hire, have withdrawn the candidatures of their children for the Nashik Municipal Corporation elections. This action follows a directive from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis against dynastic politics, aiming to prevent relatives of elected officials from contesting. The move addresses internal party discontent over such practices, with over 100 instances of relatives seeking candidatures across Maharashtra. Both MLAs stated their respect for the party's decision.
